The devs want to give the appearance of "Trade offs" without actually letting you make the most of it. "Okay so semi-auto without a billion damage like a sniper rifle. sounds great for more general use-why can't I put a scope on it? Why does it kick ass hard/harder than a burya I fire one handed?... Why are people screaming at me to git gud/use pay2win recoil control cybernetics I already beat the fight."
Basically pick your poison for anti accuracy with the tech precision rifles. You have the one that kicks more wild than a burya or MACHINE GUN with a ♥♥♥♥ sight. And the one with a good built in holo sight with less kick but shoots in a 5 burst circle pattern to spread out the damage and add a slight risk of pellets missing skull at range. (I THINK there is a 3rd one now? The issues with "Ease of killing trash" mean I keep going back to long range tactician shotgun headshots and pretending it is a tech rifle)
"Hmm, the boss is hiding up on a ledge trying to peek over it and snipe down at me."
*literally pulls out an LMG to headshot Boris more easily than a tech rifle*
Srsly the moment I found that scope can't be equipped, I started insta salvaging all of them.
But you would probably still be better off with a revolver, yeah.
