Mono Wire weaker than a frail old granny
Why is mono wire so weak .. max stats, relic points and the limited quick hacks available everything tier 5++ .. its not even good for npcd single hp bar trash mobs.. its almost .. no it is a joke. you can literately use anything, you will be better off, it needs a mega buff or an iconic version needs to have like 300 damage per hit at the very least or with actual damage quick hacks available for use.. like contagion or something for toxic, shock for electric etc etc, ... wheres the flying limbs! id rather even instead of the pathetic damage, where you will just die for lack of damage, just lop off libs so they cant shoot if you dont have fingers to pull the trigger.. or not be able to run with no legs or not even able to think with beheaddings using grab with mono wire equipped .. trying to play as lucy here.

"upload's suicide on self" had my whinge.

I think with the monowire it's a matter of DPS. It's pretty much one of the fastest weapons in the game and definitely the fastest melee weapon.

Thermal Monowire + Contagion
Chemical Monowire + Black Mamba

Roll melee damage on every piece of cyberware without fail.

I am currently undertaking the chem wire build with the goal of running a sandevistan with it. Currently level 9 so can't personally verify it yet. The thermal wire build would work just fine though, contagion makes everything spicy.

I don't remember seeing Lucy running around and cut off people's heads for fun though.
Never seen any grandmothers doing that either while we're on the topic.

shes hardly stable.. but ok.. maybe im not stable .. either or... off with their heads! ... ive modded the game now to satisfy my itch.

as for moonwire attack speed is 2.1 ~ 103 dph 20% bleed or what ever.
katana Tsumetogi is attack speed 2.1 ~ 163 dph, also blocks reflect damage. 25% ap, and 25% shock chance on one katana for i.e. both t5 ++, its hardly worth the sacrafice of all that extra dph for a tiny bit of range.. but meh opinions are opinions..

also as far as i can tell, mono wire doesnt scale with melee dmg. blade skills blunt or anything else perk wise also fairly sure anyway.

I've seen this discussed, it may have been assumed due to it not being affected by the microrotors but that's a problem that also affected the mantis blades and those scale from melee damage just fine as well.

I've seen at least one person claim to have tested and confirmed that monowire scales with melee damage. I'll see how it goes though.

u can literally chain cripple elites and bosses with that thing .. get your perks right its good enough.. i still prefer gorilla arms nothing in game satisfies more than jump with reinforced tendons into superhero landing into a charged dash punch that makes everything explode around me charing my gorilla arms to repeat..

shock, burn, chemical and should definitely scale with melee.

Not only that but it pair well with cripple movement and suicide and easily trigger the explosion from contagion.

Good aoe and good attack speed make this weapon really good to apply dots and cyberware malfunction can do dots and be applied with it.

So Damage over time on gear can scale the weapon too, don't underestimate dots, they can be quite potent especially vs bosses.

I remember seeing Lucy chopping peoples arms off in the All Foods factory.

At least at low level starting out I'm still dismembering these gonks with the wire. My only complaint is just like the mantis blades it has lost most/all of it's hit stun on enemies, likely to counterbalance the relic perks. That's fine and all but I'd rather have no relic perks in return for enemies reacting to being struck by these weapons normally.

I destroyed the Chimera with a mono wire in less than 2 minutes. For me it fells better than the sword because of the reach and hitting multiple targets.

I played monowire in 2.0, so this might not be applicable in 2.1, but in 2.0 both Dense Marrow and the melee damage stat on cyberware increased the monowire damage. Since monowire lacks the skill branch goodies of katanas or blunt weapons, as well as lower base damage, it wasnt that amazing, but it was extremely fun when you get the relic upgrade.

I mean, this is still damning the monowire because you are essetially bragging about taking longer to kill the Chimera than using a unity pistol with four cool. How much of that was chasing around drones instead of just hacking/shooting them?

Why does this offend you? 2 minutes isn't a bad time on that fight. It's not even a competition and monowire doesn't need to be the best option in the game, the point is that it's viable.

This game is generally easy enough that I don't think it matters that much.
