Stealth and Optical Camo
Is this just busted? I have all the stealth/cool perks and cyberware, and with Optical Camo crouching enemies still seem to notice/spot me from a mile away. Enemies immediately hear and notice almost everything.

Don't know what is broken. But something is not working properly.

Exactly, even if they have their backs to you, and you are far away, and there are ads and music playing around them, and your Optical Camo is tier 5, they still begin to notice you immediately. It doesnt make any sense.

They removed the invisibility bit from optical camo. It just makes you less visible. A bit dumb, but what can you do. :/

I really, really wish my preference of "Rambo idiot happens to like stealth and hacking as a hobby" was not constantly reinforced by things that give me tabletop gaming meme flashbacks. "Oh they made another thing meant for pure stealth worse? Even though it costs cyber points now and still has a big cooldown? Well I just use 4 cool/4 reflexes amount of stealth perks while snapping necks soooo..."

Before you throw camo in the garbage entirely, look up the iconics weapons list because there are various iconics that are entirely reliant on "Their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mega damage only happens while your cloaking device is active" to see if you want to toy with those.

I think the sword Oda drops has some 100% crit chance while cloaked gimmick for example.

Seriously the "Play DUMBER and it works better" angle has only gotten worse since launch instead of better. Like how I will not shut up about high body turret gun theft setting off base wide alerts (except when they don't), but loudly exploding it with the self destruct hack won't alert people as long as the only thing in the blast zone is dead/KO'd bodies.

If the game won't respect your honest attempts at using camo for sane reasons, but you want to keep camo, lean into it being a quad damage button instead with pay2win iconics.

Speaking of which, I would not be surprised if they neutered baseline camo power to make the relic tree "Camo in combat now makes people forget where you are" look more impressive. Much like how the relic tree gives you "You used to have this at launch, then we took it away and put it in the relic tree" charge meters for gorilla arms,

I also love being this Netrunning-Assassin-Edgerunner mix. It's cool.

But there are so many design flaws that simply suck the fun out of the game. I've been jotting them down while playing.

But hey, let's hope everything is going to be fixed and much better in the next CDPR Cyberpunk game on Unreal Engine 5...

Years have taught me that the people who unironically declare "Go back to world of warcraft" are the ones who want game to play more like a subscription MMO. Yeah.

For a witcher example. Lots of ♥♥♥♥ talk about skyrim bandits (okay fair) comes from people who call you a casual if you don't turn on the level scaling bandits button "Wait, you mean so it is like skyrim-" "IT IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT WHEN WE DO IT!"

I am on team "No ♥♥♥♥ grid paper maps, our wrists are not getting any younger!" when it comes to 'oldschool' mentality.

There IS a lot of fun in 2077, as frustrating as the jank old and new still is. But oh man letting the "Maybe it is lore friendly this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happened?" brainworms sink in just makes your life harder.
