Find the option to make them text you instead
That's not the point. Having the fixer text you the job information when you're right on top of the objective is just as stupid as a phone call. The primary issue is having fixer gig icons on the map initiating the gig.
It makes way more sense to only have the fixer gig icon only after you've accepted a gig. The fixer gives you one gig at a time with an arbitrary delay in between. This is both more immersive and prevents map clutter.
The clutter on the map is more the NCPD scanners and the massive amount of fast travel icons. Lucky enough you can filter them out
The issue are 2:
1) V has no way of knowing where is the location of the gig before receiving a call. It's metagaming.
2) The dialogue with the Fixer hints at V being somewhere else than the gig's location.
they make up stuff like this to give the illusion they are of any use so they get eddies.
