The Game does not let me in every time I enable mods (Pls help)
I recently just started playing Cyberpunk 2077 again and my mods were perfectly fine before, but now the game will just load to the introduction and won't let me hit "space" to skip the opening (even if I waited for it to finish it will just freeze). The only way that the game lets me in is by disabling the mods. I already tried a bunch of things; I already checked the requirements for the other mods and tried installing it too, I tried uninstalling every mod and just using one mod, and I already verified the files and reinstalling the game itself. But to no avail, the game still hates me and won't let me use mods. Do you guys have any suggestion on fixing the issue?

Update your mods and if you can't remove that mods one by one until you find the one causing the problem.

I already did that, I even deleted them all. After deleting them all, I installed a single mod to try if the game will work, but sadly it still dosen't work (I tried different kinds of mods).

So, what mod did you try there?

There might be some mod leftovers hanging around somewhere.

Well I tried some mods like changing the appearance, changing some hair, or changing clothes. Those mods does not have any further requirements in it and I believe its the latest update. Also, I tried them one by one.

So even if I delete the whole mod file inside the game and verify the integrity to bring back the blank mod file, there will still be some left? (I'm not good with this kinds of stuff so if you know where is it lmk)

so one of your mods is causing an issue. go thru them and see which one has not been updated to match the edition of the game.

this topic ( mods and issues created by them ) has been done many many many times previously. go back and go thru the older threads for helpful suggestions.

I do not understand why you would not have done this before posting in the forum.

Because an old save may have changes in it caused by the mods you used.

Mods don't always play nice, you need to look at them before you load them to see exactly what files they will be changing or replacing. You may be able to delete all your mods but that doesn't mean they didn't change some actual game settings.
Don't just look at the requirements the mod lists you need to open the file before you install it and see exactly what's in it.

Uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it without completely deleting the game folder Can still leave mod residue behind in the game's cash file.

Mods that change textures usually don't inhibit the game, But because of the new ray tracing and lighting even texture mods could cause problems.

But mods that change stats on clothing or guns or the players attributes can really screw up a game. Especially now that so much has been changed in regards to clothing, players skill tree, the stats on weapons, and the new level scaling with enemies.

Its a pain in the backside but what you need to do is load one mod at a time check to make sure it works properly, and then load another one and do the same for every mod you load. It takes time you can't just sit there and download a dozen mods into your game at one time things can really go wrong. And then you have to go back and trace which mod isn't getting along with another mod, Or which mod is interfering with the game itself

You must remember that mods are made by amateurs they're not professional developers in any way whatsoever. They may not foresee the consequences of the mod they make within the game. They get something that works and that's good enough for them to post it. But it does not mean it will be flawless or without problems. People have the impression that all they have to do is download a mod and everything will be fine without knowing anything about mods, you couldn't be further from the truth. You must understand what that mod will do and what it will change.

I have to totally agree with you, I may have f*cked up. I just installed the new DLC and the game notified me that there is still a trace of the old mod. What I'm doing right now is doing a clean installation and deleting the saved files and some other files correlated to that. Thank you for the response, I really appreciate it!

It's my first time doing mods so tbh idk how to handle this, that's why my first thought is fixing it by myself (clearly I can't lol), then asking the Discussions page. I just looked at some old post regarding the issue and yes it helped, thank you!

If you're still having difficulties, this 'mod' will remove all your mods and put them in backup folders so you can start fresh.
