Quiet engine/car sounds
Anyone noticed that vehicles are very quiet? Im not talking about when youre accelerating - those sounds are fine, I'm talking about when the vehicle is revving down, or cruising, they're almost silent. It's like every car is an electric car. The same goes for both NPC vehicles and PC vehicles.

The same can be said for when you're passenger in an NPC vehicle - theyre also almost completely silent. You can hear the tires rolling on the ground more than the engine.

I hope it comes across how weird it sounds. Some of the more powerful vehicles like The Beast or bikes sound *mostly* fine.

the down shifts sound fine for me. I have a different issue. My engines rattle as if all the exhaust are novelties, barely attached to the vehicles.

I mean the sounds are there, but theyre really quiet. You can hear the tires rolling on the asphalt more than the engine, and if you noticed the small cars (Makigai) that pass by make more noise than the bigger vans and trucks. Perfect example near the end where three vehicles drives past:

Large van - quieter sound
Medium car - medium sound
Small car - louder sound

When radio is on, engines get quiter, thats a new thing since 2.0 or 2.1 and i dislike it.

Put radio off and suddenly you can enjoy engine sounds again, unfortunately one has to decide now.

The same questionable decision like the radio is getting silent after 2 minutes of standing still with your car, idk who the decision maker is with those audio settings but its really, really not good.

Mr. Sound Dev, ever imagined that players want to listen to radio AND engine sound? Also parking somewhere and listening to the Radio? No?

Personally, I find the vehicle sounds a lot less unpleasant in the latest update...even the nasty farting Quadra exhaust and clashing gear shifting isn't too bad.

I doubt if they will ever make everybody happy with the car radio situation...it would be nice if there was a choice of settings for how long they play, whether they play when you exit a vehicle, etc.

More important would be an option to turn off ads in public spaces honestly.

Yes I looked into this a few days ago, and is the reason I turned off the radio completely because it definitely muffles the vehicle sounds overall - engine, breaking, revving - all of that.

So when you watch my clip, you see that the radio is already off. I also completely turned the radio-sound off in the settings.

My issue is that vehicles make very little sound in "cruising" speeds, when idling, low RPMs, when revving down, etc.. It's like the car's "ambient sounds" are turned way down. The tires on the asphalt makes more sound.

I'll try to get some passenger riding clip so you can also hear what that sounds like.

I came here for the opposite reasons. I really dislike how loud V's car is and wondered if there was a way to make cars quieter in the game? I don't see any mods out there yet.

Yeah same here, it made my ears hurt, and couldn't find any mod to make it less loud either...

Any im here because the vehicles are so quiet its awkward so im wondering why half of us have loud vehicles and the other half of us are riding around in V8 Teslas. I want to hear the engine.
