I mean the sounds are there, but theyre really quiet. You can hear the tires rolling on the asphalt more than the engine, and if you noticed the small cars (Makigai) that pass by make more noise than the bigger vans and trucks. Perfect example near the end where three vehicles drives past:
Large van - quieter sound
Medium car - medium sound
Small car - louder sound
Put radio off and suddenly you can enjoy engine sounds again, unfortunately one has to decide now.
The same questionable decision like the radio is getting silent after 2 minutes of standing still with your car, idk who the decision maker is with those audio settings but its really, really not good.
Mr. Sound Dev, ever imagined that players want to listen to radio AND engine sound? Also parking somewhere and listening to the Radio? No?
I doubt if they will ever make everybody happy with the car radio situation...it would be nice if there was a choice of settings for how long they play, whether they play when you exit a vehicle, etc.
More important would be an option to turn off ads in public spaces honestly.
Yes I looked into this a few days ago, and is the reason I turned off the radio completely because it definitely muffles the vehicle sounds overall - engine, breaking, revving - all of that.
So when you watch my clip, you see that the radio is already off. I also completely turned the radio-sound off in the settings.
My issue is that vehicles make very little sound in "cruising" speeds, when idling, low RPMs, when revving down, etc.. It's like the car's "ambient sounds" are turned way down. The tires on the asphalt makes more sound.
I'll try to get some passenger riding clip so you can also hear what that sounds like.
Yeah same here, it made my ears hurt, and couldn't find any mod to make it less loud either...
