FPS drop after the update
So I was playing the game between 90-100 fps mostly and after this huge patch (was 24 gb for me) my fps dropped to 40-50 the ♥♥♥♥ is this man?

Check your graphics settings, bunch of mine were reset by the patch, specifically frame generation.

I did but I don't think the game lets me keep the changes, I guess I need to wait for a hotfix or something

Ah, I just checked, mine are saving, it was the resolution scaling settings that were the issue for me.

If using nvidia must use new driver released yesterday 546.29. I did a before and after the patch comparison using new driver for both. Intel i7 2600k 12year old cpu and mobo ASUS P8Z68-V pro gen3 and ddr3 2166mhz, nvme drive using a pci-e slot via adaptor and modded bios to even use it, and an Nvidia RTX 4080 in pci-e 2.0 mode Playing at 2560x1440 ultra settings except i don't use film grain, chromatic ab, DoF or motion blur as i hate all 4 of them. All ray tracing options selected path and reconstruction as well. DLSS+frame gen

Using the in game benchmark

Quality=81fps avg before patch and 86fps after patch
Balanced=95fps avg before patch and 96fps after patch

So slight increase for me.

The update disable dlss and other stuff, you guys need to recheck your in game graphics settings to re enable stuff that may have been turned off

Even after i enabled again DLSS and frame generation i got fps drops, before patch 2.1 i got 106fps in benchmark, after update i got 96fps, 8fps drop. Dont know what happened...

Yes, fully open, ray tracing path tracing 4090 is only 70 fps
mbpoblet Dec 5, 2023 @ 12:40pm
Yeah, with the same settings I get around 60 to 70% of the FPS I got yesterday on the benchmark.
(And lowering the settings doesn't seem to do much anything; either the patch broke something and the settings are being ignored, or it's using now most of the GPU for something other than graphics.)

Changing ray tracing and dlss settings do change my fps to some extend but I still don't get the same fps from before the patch. Guess we all have to wait for a bugfix or something indeed

OK, something is massively fubared with the benchmark. I somehow just got better framerate with Ultra quick preset than with the mid to low custom I had been trying.

Is it stable?

For me personally yes it's stable have zero issues since the last patch. I had only to enable some video settings like DSSL and some minor option and after that? It runs even better then before.

Yeah I mean for me, it is not unplayable by any means but it is just weird. I'll make some other changes and see if it works like before
