2.1 Video Options Not Saving [Update: Solved]
Update: solved by adding key bindings for some of the controls that were unbound. Now all settings are saving correctly.

Just installed the 2.1 update and went to check the video/graphics options in the settings and all my stuff (HDR, DLSS, ray tracing) was turned off. I turned it all back on and hit Apply. As soon as I exit the menu and go back in to check again, all those settings immediately revert to Off again. WTF? No matter how many times I turn them on and hit Apply, they turn off again as soon as I leave the Settings menu. Applying and exiting the game, then restarting the game, has no effect. Never had this issue in the past 2 years until now.

Have you checked that your firewall is not blocking any changes you are trying to make? I've had it in the past where windows firewall was blocking me from making new save files in games.

Firewalls are not preventing you to make changes on your PC. Firewalls block incoming connections from the internet or from the local network.

Yeah sorry you're right, I meant to say windows defender, not firewall.

In the past windows defender had prevented me from saving games in TES Oblivion and I had to tell it to allow changes to that folder. I thought perhaps this might be the case for OP's problem. *shrug* Just trying to be helpful.

Did you have any keys left unbound? It looks irrelevant but try that

GeForce Experience can't optimize the game...

Adjust it manually for now. My old settings after patch gave 17fps, I then reviewed the settings and adjusted them. Now 76fps.

Already installed those drivers before updating the game...

Yes, but that has always been the case. I always get that warning, but it hasn't affected video settings in the past. Are you saying the "keys unbound" message can cause this sometimes?

Not that I am aware of. Never have made changes to it.
