I love these skill checks
Cyberpunk: "Technical ability required 7"
Okay, got to 7.
Cyberpunk: "No wait, I meant 12"
Okay, got to 12.
"Cyberpunk: "Actually, I meant 17"

Wtf is this? Strength and Tech are my two highest but I keep running into things I can't open. I want to focus on other things now and I'm wary of putting more into those two for fear of it just upping the bar again.

I've barely advanced the story, just doing side stuff. Up to level 35. Are the skill checks scaling with level and do they go all the way up to cap?

The attribute check scaling is currently pretty stupid. I use a mod to save me some headache.

Yes and yes. The skill checks scale when advancing in level. Don't you love level scaling?! :)

Us plebs just don't understand the vision I guess.

Guess since V is dying, leveling up actually means leveling down and any upgrades you are getting are just offsetting you actually getting dumber/weaker as the relic munches on your gray matter.

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when they were spitballing ideas on how to improve the game. I doubt it's that deep.

Level scaling is great, otherwise you would OS everything in lategame.
Wait a moment, why am i a god in late game ?...

Yeah, this door is harder to open while i level up -> logic facepalm

How a company like CDPR can be so bad at designing this ?

This change is one of the worst things in the game. I mean I can't stealth into a lot of places now. But some doors you can cyberhack from a distance rather than use your tech ability.

Why do opening doors or hacking something get harder? Surely they should stay the same or even get easier. The Environment isn't changing, your V is.

they should have tied things like that, to a peice of cyberware, or lockpicking, and have it be a buyable skill upgrade using money, then have some sort of prompt, to nudge you to buy it right before you need it. maybe tie it to when you're introduced to a new "fixer"

dont forget the support missions leading up to big "heist" finale missions, you do all this running around so you're able to infiltrate, only for it to devolve into a classic shoot and loot by the end,

My guess is the Law of Unintended Consequences :)

As is well known, this game was a buggy, (unfinished?) mess at launch but they've solved many issues and we've got a very good game now, buuuut in solving some issues they've created others and this issue is one of them...

Does this include dialog, too?

If this consequence was not foreseen by the devs I think it's safe to say they aren't paying attention.

Hence the two patches since that do not mention it. It's not a difficult fix, this was the intended design, even if they do end up rolling it back some due to feedback.

oh straight up, thats whats going on? Figured just hitting progression of map but ya...k, that makes a lot of sense now.

Fing stupid not even trying to be a techie, so just disregarded those as not my build, but got fair bit in strength and like maybe 2 things half way thru game if had to guess even be able to use it on.

Think idea is need to just pour all points into sole attribute for thing want to be, jack of all trades can go get f'ed.

Yup, that dumpster is going to forever sit in front of Brendon and that questline will never be completed for this run as for some reason I need 13 body to push it, and will not have enough attribute points to meet that.

Love the level scaling elsewhere, but this is pants on head on fire stupid.
This sub is a great example of how overinflated egos can get filtered by skill checks. :valentinos:

Woah, your characters experienced a story hindrance to the builds you chose to play, how could the game ever do that to you l e l :mrb_sergei:

That is actually gold. These are moments people think about when they sleep; imagine how funny it would be to see some dough-boy V failing to push a garbage bin for a talking dispenser. Too bad Jackie couldnt move it for you; hes such a great guy. :TheRooster:

That dumpster check never exceeds 10. 1 point into body and gorilla arms is all you need to move it.
