Depends on whats "good" for your play style. Tech weapons have a charge up cycle but provide object penetration benefits. You cannot ricoshet tech weapon rounds.

Perks exist to make the charge time faster, punch through more object depth, etc.

I personally love them like the Widowmaker iconic tech rifle is one of my all time favorites.

I think this page can help you decide. https://cyberpunk2077.wiki.fextralife.com/Weapons

They're the best imo

Yes but they're extremely cheesy as the AI isn't capable to counter you just sitting somewhere they can't get to while annihilating them through cover.

Tech does have benefits, you can see an enemy through a wall and shot it, but my play style is built around the smart weapons.

Ashura - 400+ dmg - lock on head when scoping, kills enemies mostly in 1 hit (not the skull/elite)
Yinglong - not mucch dmg, but has good stats - because of stats you can dominate most groups of 3 to 4 enemies and kill them off with one clip, without even needing to aim
Smart pistol (when on the first slot) - not much dmg - but you do not miss when in car chases

Smart homes a lot of bullets, so they do less dmg, but you do more hits and in total more dmg

It is what you prefer, how you want to play, some would vote going all Katana

Yea they won't be the highest dps but the ability to cheese the ai is very high. If the ai was smart enough to detect you using them and counter with their own tech weaponry I'd use them but as is I just stash them. Smarts kinda cheesy but at least you have to grab target locks giving them a chance to take your head off before just sitting behind cover exploiting the mid AI. Depends how you want to play and what you find to be fun. If you want more high octane harder fights sandy/melee, if you want cheese cyberdeck/tech if you want mid cheese cyberdeck/smart balance what you want to use with the damage scaling mod.

Depends on your build.
My V is strong with power pistols and blades, I invested into tech tree, but haven't touched skills that improve tech weapons.
But generally, yeah, they are good, build your V around them if you want and that's pretty much it.

Use " ORDER " in the DLC, it's Brick's double Barrel Tech shotgun..........and you'll never use any other shotgun again.

Tech weapons are awesome...my favorite. A Bolt-enabled Senkoh LX was the only way I was able to take out Oda in one of the toughest Boss fights in the game. The Nekomata sniper and Satara shotgun are also excellent. I received the Scorch pistol as a subscription bonus for downloading the free Gwent game and playing around with it for 10 minutes...it is absolute dynamite throughout the whole game....it out-Lizzys the Lizzy pistol which itself is very good.

Yes, in terms of raw damage tech weapons will generally outclass a non-Tech Equivalent. And the Wall Puncher Mod is just so monstrously powerful if you can find a naked 5++ Tier Tech Weapon to pair it with.

Bolt doesn't go trough walls so i prefer Brakethrough Sniper and Raiju MG (because go trought walls without charging so bolt go through).

Then i have a Burya with Chimera core and EMP module when max charged : i don't use bolt in this case, charge to 100% no penalty through walls.

Laika gun is fun : big explosive revolver but can't go trough walls (so why tech) so very good for bolt...

Lizzie's gun is great for bolt too.

But i use Raven console Contagion + Errata Katana, Psalm, Death and taxes for stealth... (i like hybrid)

I've been using Raiju. It's borderline overpowered. I don't even have tech or SMG perks yet and I say this.

Can't say I've regularly used Tech weapons, I've only really used the Tech precision/sniper rifle to be able to shoot through cover.

Can agree, tech weapons are great. Personnel favs include the raiju, breakthrough, Gris Gris, order, and the dlc tech sniper. Widow maker is also a solid general purpose weapon as well.
