It's just my opinion, but I highly doubt that it'll matter. Not to mention that whatever it is that may be added, will likely also be put up for sale separately.
What got my head going is that if I own the base game I have to buy the dlc at full price, if I refund it I can buy it for a few bucks cheaper as a bundle but don't know if the ultimate edition is going to be even cheaper than that
In the end, you do what you wanna do. To me I would not worry too much, but as always your financial situation is only known by you. It may make sense or may not.

I'd say you should wait.
You could refund it now and wait, if you don't mind waiting. Either way, up to you.
I haven't seen the price of the Ultimate edition but there is a sale on now so it's probably cheaper.
The only difference is you get a box with the ultimate edition.
