-Second: Look for a camera. Take it over. Switch through al of them. Dont forget to mark enemies you see (MMB). You can now track them even through walls. (range depends on your eye implants). Only after that: switch them of.
Once you go in:
-Distract, bait, sonic shock.
-Optical Camo!
-Synaptic Accelerator gives you a chance to get away when detected
-'No alarm' doesn't mean 'No attacks'. Use stealth takedown, hide the body (if you just put it in some corner, it still counts as 'no causalities'). Also works with Aerial takedown, with leg implants you can do them from ground level.
-If neccessray: silenced guns/throwing knifes. These have a risk that someone might still hear it
But I guess I was on the right path.
Trying to get some $$$ to buy some more wares.
Don't forget to hide bodies, btw.
Sonic shock (canceling tracing), then other cyberware attack (short circuit, synopsis). If you get traced, try to flee and get out of range (then it fails) before it is complete
Scan (tab), then press MMB to at a marker on enemy, so you can follow the movements. If you are lucky, you can sneak and take it down with F or R (if you do not wish to kill). Be wary not to leave the body
Use whatever you can to distract them (tv, vending machine, etc) to let them face the other way you are
Or.... get the police to chase you and run to the gig, sometimes that works too.... sometimes....
So with hacking now you can upload multiple hacks to the same person. Sonic shock is the hack that cuts off a person from their net so that followed by overheat or short circuit will knock them out without raising the alarm. takedowns when crouching behind them will do the same thing.
Now if the enemy becomes alerted and starts looking for you that still does not count as combat.
Combat has only occurs if the red "combat" appears under your minimap. Having so many hours in this game, there are a few gigs I can now by sneaking past everyone without using a hack or takedown but it is not that common a possibility with most gig.
You can also kill everybody silently in most gigs and no one cares. Wako sayign "you were like a gost, no one knew you were there" and my V left a carpet of 20 dead bodies.
There are a few gigs where you are not supposed to kill anyone but they are quite rare.
To add to this, MOST gigs, even some main quests have alternate ways to approach the objective. Like the club mentioned here, if its the one im thinking of there are a few side entry points that have skill checks. If you can use them, it can cut down a good portion of possible interaction al to gether.
This particular gig had a security guard with locked door. I guess if I took him out quietly I could have take his access card. However at that point they already detected me so it was a full on battle.
Maybe I’ll try to replay it for practice. I have a save just before it started.
edit: double jump is king
these alternate paths are usually designed so you can just sneak to the objective or a computer where you can disable the security cameras.
another big thing that makes these much easier is hackign the cameras off with your 'TAB' eye view.
if you are using melee cyberware like the sandevistan or berserk that's not an option and those cyberwares are somewhat designed to ignore "sneaking" anyway and jsut go in and cause carnage.
on that note the sandevistan is actually pretty awesome for stealth as you can often just zoom through a place without getting fully detected lol
all in all doing what the fixer asked usually just results in a few more eddies and some alternate dialogue. other than that it doesn't really matter if you follow their directions to a T as long as the main objective is met.
there's no consequences for doing it your way (eddies aside)
Early game its not a sin to sell weapons/gear/junk you get, but mid-late game you wanna break them all down (highlight and hold Z)
