The important thing to remember is: You made a deal with some powerful people, and if you want your end of that deal, you have to see this through to their benefit.
Another important step is letting Songbird live when the time comes.
Agreed, awful ending. I don't really like sending Songbird to the moon either since she admitted lying to V, but at least it locks me out of the "good" ending, which is a big plus. Means I can keep going with the nomad ending
