Is the Economy supposed to be this whacked?
Still feeling out the changes. Feels like some were applied without sufficient thought to the reality in play with these changes. I feel like I can clear every side hustle and farm every random gang goon and not have either enough cash or components to keep gear quality in balance with my levels..

tho.. not finding supreme challenge at max difficulty with what I got either..

Get components from picking up and dismantling *everything* you don't want. Get credits not just from gigs, but also selling doubles or unwanted cyberware/quickhacks to Rippers. I recently cleaned out (sold off) all the cyberware and quickhacks I didn't want, and it gave me around 500k

Since this feels suspiciously like a troll post, I'll just say that I'm level 50 now and just topped 1 million in cash, and still have enough side gigs and main quests left where I need a break from the game.

I'd give you more tips on how to get those cash and components, but since you added that the game isn't giving you a challenge at max difficulty, then I don't see why you have an issue waiting a bit longer to recoup your cash anyways.

coming out with neither components or cash is bizarre. maybe you're not looting enough. getting cash is way easier in 2.0, weapons (even common ones) sells for so much.

Buy nothing. Sell whatever you don't need. The higher your Diff, the better the drops, especially after the Heist.

what does this mean?

The price scaling for stuff is a bit out of control, weapons at level 60 can cost up to 400k in some cases, the gigs don't really scale up money rewards so getting 5000 from a gig is nothing when everything is crazy expensive since it's scaled itself into being almost all tier 5 at that point. I don't think they took any consideration into the prices and just slapped a scaling price on it based on tier and called it a day.

Breakdown only weapons and clothes that give current tier components, sell everything else. You shouldn't have any problems dropping 200k on a new weapon or cyberware like that, as long as you're not trying to buy 5+ pieces at a time.

I found a pretty decent money spinner, kicking myself I didn't do it on previous playthroughs. I still jack in to terminals where I can, I try to get tier 2 daemons (& 1 if possible for a few extra ennies) for components and cash. Then after a while I craft a bunch of quickhacks and sell them. usually 2k and change for green and blue, 10k ish for purples (epic?), been finding some orange ones lately and selling them too 'cos I don't need them on my first sandi build. I can't make them but hot damn they're good to sell, like 18-25k each. Last night I sold the 6 I had for about 160k. I'm only lv35 or so, so I reckon there's plenty of money in my game ahead.
