This is what I was curious about. Whats the correlation with the show and the game?
Just the setting is the same. There are no real story connections except for a few Easter eggs in the game.
It includes many concepts from the cyberpunk novels Neuromancer and Hardwired (and some others). The Santistevan combat cyberware from Hardwired is referenced as Sandevistan :) The concept of imprinting personalities is from Neuromancer, although they cannot overwrite their host, but are used as trainers. Soulkiller is basically from Hardwired, where it is used to get rid of the megacorps boss at the end, and there is a short story about what happened afterwards.
