net runner is garbage now.
Now i bought this game on launch and really enjoyed netrunner in the past so i load up the game after 2,0 start a bran spanking new save and start leveling now i am just a little over level 50 max street cred.

they have completely destroyed netrunners imo. not only are almost all quick hacks weaker they reduced ram recovery and after 2.02 i noticed another difference in my ram recovery. come to find out there was a bug that was giving us back more ram that we should have gotten. so screw me right.

Another thing that i really hate is they linked ram recovery to weapons also like micro fiber whip thingy and smart weapons. i also hate smart weapons.......

let me just be completely honest about this. net runners are the mages of the cyber punk universe they should wield in credible power because they give up combat ability for it. I understand you want people to play with all the abilities in the game but frankly you can't just nerf something into the ground with giving us something back in return and as i see it you haven't given us anything in return you are forcing into play styles we don't like.

I keep destroying the game on very hard as a netrunner.

Must be a bug.

you have to understand this is in comparison to old net runners. old net runners could clear entire buildings with one quick hack. i understand this was a bit over powered. But this was just such a huge over all nerf to net runner play style that i can't really stay silent about it.

With a serious build you can overclock that give you practically infinite use of the hacks and queue up to 4 quickhacks, some with synergies that do absurd damage and not to mention that the last hack in the queue does critical damage.

Additionally, when an enemy falls you recover a large percentage of ram and you get a ram recovery boost according to the chrome you have.

What I sense is that you do not accept the changes and want to continue playing in a way that is currently obsolete.

netrunning is very OP as is.

Having a specific build should make or break gameplay. the whole point of gameplay is to let the play explore and pick their play style. Not jury rig the system into specific play styles.

You also need to get complementary cyberware that boosts quickhack damage, RAM regen rate and health regen. There's a heap there that does this and Netrunners still destroy enemies pretty quickly. But it is quite a different play style to pre-2.0.

I have the deck that makes Contagion spread like wild fire, it clears everything pretty quickly.

This.

Just want to add that mentioned synergies include combos now (e.g. contagion+overheat) or strong stacking effects (e.g. 4x cyberware malfunction).

Read the description of the new quickhacks and cyberware thoroughly, I'm sure you'll find a new "OP" setup for your playstyle ;)

There are multiple endgame netrunner OP builds now using different decks, rather than pre 2.0 where the only viable endgame decks were nasically the Netrunner one (which got nerfed into a camera/device/car deck) and the ultimate quickhack one.

I have a long detailed post I saved of my own late game build which I could post to give you an idea of where builds are and how combos etc. work.

One thing to understand about the game after 2.0 is that the new dev team who took over(original game was lead by Pawel Sasko, 2.0 and Phantom Liberty lead by Gabe Amantangelo) is that they want you to now play the game like it's an action movie instead of like it's a Table-Top inspired RPG.

Look at everything they nerfed, then look at everything they buffed and it's obvious. They don't want you to play the game like a smart person, they want you to play the game like you're the Doom Guy.

*finishes clearing a building without setting foot in it*

What the heck you talking about, Willis?

Yeah pre 2.0 the game did not play like tabletop. It was pretty basic with little tactical or strategic play. Most perks etc. were just passive stat boosts rather than game changing mechanics. They're are actual Quickhack combos and interesting synergies, when before quickhacks were stale and basic.

Like when we were able to hack through walls from our Car/Bike on the street with contagion and wipe out an entire mission encounter without getting out lol. Really in depth combat and strategy... I don't consider that smart, just OP and effortless. :) :)

Hey I still do at level 60 and I don't even use the 35% chance to crit on hacks iconic cyberware. One circuit kills normal enemies. Skull enemies only take queuing circuit twice or more, or pulling off a cybernetic malfunction + short circuit combo. Real boss fights you can destroy with Cybernetic Malfuncitons stacks, burnout stacks and short circuit queued to infinity blowing up weakpoints on malfunctioned enemies etc.

What I use to kill most enemy encounters with hacks as a netrunner, is spamming the Wipe/Reboot/Shock combo with overclock that auto neutralizes enemies, making them fall unconscious similar and cheaper than Systems Collapse.
