Must be a bug.
Additionally, when an enemy falls you recover a large percentage of ram and you get a ram recovery boost according to the chrome you have.
What I sense is that you do not accept the changes and want to continue playing in a way that is currently obsolete.
I have the deck that makes Contagion spread like wild fire, it clears everything pretty quickly.
This.
Just want to add that mentioned synergies include combos now (e.g. contagion+overheat) or strong stacking effects (e.g. 4x cyberware malfunction).
Read the description of the new quickhacks and cyberware thoroughly, I'm sure you'll find a new "OP" setup for your playstyle ;)
There are multiple endgame netrunner OP builds now using different decks, rather than pre 2.0 where the only viable endgame decks were nasically the Netrunner one (which got nerfed into a camera/device/car deck) and the ultimate quickhack one.
I have a long detailed post I saved of my own late game build which I could post to give you an idea of where builds are and how combos etc. work.
One thing to understand about the game after 2.0 is that the new dev team who took over(original game was lead by Pawel Sasko, 2.0 and Phantom Liberty lead by Gabe Amantangelo) is that they want you to now play the game like it's an action movie instead of like it's a Table-Top inspired RPG.
Look at everything they nerfed, then look at everything they buffed and it's obvious. They don't want you to play the game like a smart person, they want you to play the game like you're the Doom Guy.
*finishes clearing a building without setting foot in it*
What the heck you talking about, Willis?
Like when we were able to hack through walls from our Car/Bike on the street with contagion and wipe out an entire mission encounter without getting out lol. Really in depth combat and strategy... I don't consider that smart, just OP and effortless. :) :)
Hey I still do at level 60 and I don't even use the 35% chance to crit on hacks iconic cyberware. One circuit kills normal enemies. Skull enemies only take queuing circuit twice or more, or pulling off a cybernetic malfunction + short circuit combo. Real boss fights you can destroy with Cybernetic Malfuncitons stacks, burnout stacks and short circuit queued to infinity blowing up weakpoints on malfunctioned enemies etc.
What I use to kill most enemy encounters with hacks as a netrunner, is spamming the Wipe/Reboot/Shock combo with overclock that auto neutralizes enemies, making them fall unconscious similar and cheaper than Systems Collapse.
