I do not recommend it. It will kill the immersion. the game is made for 1st person and is best enjoyed in 1st person. but you know each to his own. just try it. it's far from perfect.

tweaking the 3rd person camera is key, i personally like the camera closer to the body to hide most of the jank, especially the legs when you sprint.
Yeah, i figured it wouldn't bother me if the camera reverts to 1st for combat and what not - I care more about 3rd when waking around/exploring.
