That's interesting. I also found a mod that sort of compresses the cycle that I thought of trying.
Ideally though I'd like them to modify the day night cycle so that it's more immersive (and frankly realistic).
I also use Limited HUD to hide a lot of the unnecessary screen elements like the crouch indicator, and to only show the quest markers when using the scanner or zoom and the ammo/weapon stuff only in combat and when a weapon is drawn. It's way more immersive, but there are a few things from 2.0 that still need to added.

However it's true that there are too much daytime, the night itself finish at 4 am or so, there aren't sun beams but the sky is starting to be more bright.
You do understand that "Night" City is a double entendre? Pondsmith chose the name for a reason. Bade Runner is set almost exclusively at night for a reason.

The setting of this game is supposed to be dark.
I wound up using a mod called "Custom Time Curves". It has a variant that gradually compresses the time cycle as the sun nears its zenith. So basically day gets compressed x8. It works really well.
Says who? A town in Southern California is bound to have long days?
Says the setting. Says a guy who literally grew up in Los Angeles.
Cities in the contiguous states have long days during the summer. Cities in the contiguous states are not lit up like a bright summer day at 03:00 in the morning.
Well, I dunno ...

3:30 AM doesn't look like a bright summer day to me. I mean, I would expect this kind of sky maybe an hour later or 90 mins tops during summer, but I live way further north.
