dum dum likes johnny's music and johnny says he knows him from somewhere but he doesn't know where, well what do I think about that he uses an inhaler from the war corp so dum dum would it be an old friend of jhonny who served with him during the corp war? He seems to hate militech too because he was used by them? I found this very interesting I would like to share this thought

That is an interesting observation. I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up before. I've looked online and couldn't find any information on it. It's also surprising you can have a few good interactions with him in the two gigs you have with him. On first glance, it seems like unnecessary padding. Especially since he will get a spot in the Columbarian if you take a huff of his inhaler. There must be more to this!

when you are a street kid just on this path and you use his inhaler and knock down the militech at the end of the factory he gives you the inhaler as a gift and says he likes people who have good taste then you can meet him again in the second conflict mission It's there Johnny says he knows him from somewhere but he doesn't know where

The transition to Maelstrom probably changed his voice just as much as it changed his appearance. But I notice in the game that a person with a distinct personality is recognizable even if they look different, just as Johnny is recognizable to Rogue and Kerry despite being in V's body, regardless if its male or female V. I bet there is some obscure information in the game somewhere that could provide more for us. I will have to look out for it.

Maelstrom has been around since 2013/2020.
They were a small group back then. Got additional members from a couple of other chromer gangs who got whiped out by another gang called 'the Inquisitors' iirc.

Inquisitors were hated by everyone. And I mean EVERY GANG IN NIGHTCITY lol.
Those guys hated any chrome that was visible. From replacement cyber eyes and limbs to simple cosmetics and chip slots. Even gangs who didn't use cyberware. The leader of one of the tech gangs had a standing bounty on the boss of inquisitors, cause they flatlined his brother.
They would pull random chooms over and beat the everlovin sh*t out of them, just for having a little chrome. Or even a wiff of hidden chrome.

So yeah, its possible Dumdum is old enough for Johnny to know him. Maybe he was a kid who lied about his age to get into the army. Maybe he ran with one of the other chrome gangs who did jobs back in 2020-2023. Hell, maybe he just used to hang out as a regular at Atlantis or the Hammer.

during the mission second conflict different from brick royce knows about music and says things to nancy brick lets you leave there on good terms with royce you have two choices go out and kill everyone and kill dum dum and get his iconic doom doom revolver or leaving it through the back, hidden, seems much more interesting to me, maybe a quest in the future about this, showing more who dum dum would be, he looks very different from the others, maelstrom, he's a good person, people just choose meredith as if it were just that, shoot the Royce guy but there's not much else hidden there
