Path tracing with ray reconstruction - any tips how to make it look better?
I am sure most of you noticed that ray reconstruction applies this weird sharpening filter that gets more noticeable on distant objects, it makes the game look little cartoony, if that's a right term, second but probably the most noticeable issue is extreme smearing and ghosting on distant objects, namely moving NPCs leave trail behind them, you can see it when you look down after exiting V's first apartment, does anyone experimented with different DLSS presets, or any other viable options how to make it not look ♥♥♥♥♥♥? I am currently playing with just basic ray tracing, it looks objectively worse, but I just can't stand the problems mentioned.

For 2077 at least, the super resolution aspect of DLSS with ray reconstruction is built into the ray reconstruction dlss library itself (as in it doesn't use both dlss.dll - SR and dlssd.dll -RR, just dlssd for both RR and SR), so swapping another dlss.dll version in place for SR won't fix the ghosting issue while using RR.

I felt like setting sharpening back to .50 helped make overall image look better.
There's a custom .in file you can make that will force disable bloom which will totally eliminate dlss shimmer on edges (and bloom entirely).

To disable bloom:
In the "Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc" folder make a new text file and open it with notepad. Add:

[Developer/FeatureToggles]
Bloom = false

Save file as user.ini

I don't have this issue at all
I play on GeForce Now with Ray Tracing Overdrive. Everything maxed out and I don't have this problem at all.

The biggest tip to make it look better is to simply wait. Have some patience choom. RT Reconstruction is new, it's bound to have anomalies.

if your playing lower than 4k res the best tip ive found is to not use PT and revert to RT with ultra/pyscho settings it looks so much sharper and better overall. Sure the reflections arent as sharp but well everything else is.

I am playing at 4K, but I discovered that ray reconstruction looks much better with just basic ray tracing, ghosting is almost gone and it doesn't look so artificially reconstructed like how it looks with path tracing, and performance is better.

are u using a mod or something to do this, use RR without PT?
