I have an AMD rig 5800x3d. OC formula 6900xt. Wiill run full ultra 4k 60 fps with a couple of settings lowered. Can run medium ray tracing settings at ultra 1440p 60fps using intel Xess.
Sounds like you have an issue somewhere. You might wanna try a full system reboot. Wipe everything and reinstall.
Edit to get my gpu to run close to 100 percent meant just turning everything up to 11.
Dropping down to 1440p will lean heavier on CPU. thus lower GPU usage
The best thing I did to gain performance was simply get GeForce Experience to set the specs. Then, maybe tweak one or two things. But here's a few adjustmentsyou could try as I have a similar setup.
1: Disable motion blur
2: Turn off film grain
3: Set DLSS to quality
4: Turn on RT but disable the alternative options and enable on by one to see performance
5: Set crowd to medium
6: Set Vsync to a max of 60 and a minimum of 50
7: Don't choose "psycho" mode for any RT.
Just a side note: Sometimes I get a few frame drops, an alt+tab to windows and back into the game seems to solve that.
You know what? I take that back. I just remembered the 2.1 update messed up performance for everyone.
