Sandevistan-melee enemies are beyond annoying
Seriously having nearly every cyberpsycho have Sandevistan AND melee is just soooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded ffs.

Honestly i am really wondering what exactly were devs expecting players to do with limited healing? Fight fairly? Most of my cyberpsycho fights once again devolve into "lets see where i can get this stupid POS AI stuck and subsequently shot to pieces through wall using Tech weapon" because i seriously cant be bothered to try and fight "proper" way (as in not abusing AI pathfinding) this type of enemies.
Bulletsponge++ tier of HP, ability to dodge both melee and ranged attacks, apparent ignorance to EMP (since when is Sandevistan NOT cyberware lol as EMP grenades do exactly zero to their dodging ability) coupled with abilitity to take away 1/4 of HP per hit even from heavily armoured player character, hits that come extremely frequently with no chance to properly block them or counter them due to rather poor melee combat Cyberpunk always has resulting in you surviving few "rushes" and then running out of meds or space to dodge to, provided dodge bothers to help and enemy simply doesnt just magically extend his hitreg into your ass.

End of rant i guess. I am just dissapointed how poorly those fights are made.

Theres a segment in Phantom liberty where you "play" as a character other than V and have to fight a melee sandevistan user with simply a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ revolver and it is near unbeatable on very hard if you specced and chose perks for a long range playstyle.

The irony is that Sandevistan melee is a good counter as they can't dodge hit from behind and when you slow time too you can just walk around them and hit them back.

Just about every build has a counter. Use your own sandy, berserk and bash their face in, sneak around and use takedowns, or hack their cyberware.

Yeah, puting 2 stacks of Cyberware Malfunction on an enemy will permanently disable all their cyberware.

Cyberware Malfunction does not work with some cyberpsychos. No matter if it's 2 stacks, 3 stacks or whatever. They just keep using their cyberware, go invisible etc.

Cripple Movement I found to be quite effective.

I have not had a single one continue to use their Sandevistan after I bombed them with it. I did have one guy in a power loader suit that kept beating my ass with his tech after I zapped him, but he wasn't running around at lightspeed while doing it.

All you people saying use Sandy and/or even beat them at melee... i probably dont have the nerves for that. They arent exactly "slow" as other NPC´s, with Sandy they are still moving rather quick and if there is some jackass with Mantis Blades, last thing i want to do is try to hit him with a stick over a head which isnt gonna work half the time and i end up getting shishkebabed once Sandy runs out. 5-6 seconds on average isnt really enough to pull big numbers. Not when Mr. Bulletsponge turns arounds and slaps you for 100+ HP per hit.

Truth be told, i specificaly switched to Sandy few times before Cyberpsycho and ♥♥♥♥ that thing. It helped in exactly no way, shape or form. If something it got me killed because trade-off from Cyberdeck is simply way too bad and not worth it. Being delegated to Sandy+melee or ranged with no CC against fast moving bullet sponge with insane damage... yeaaaa

Throw a grenade down their feet and dare them to dodge that
If your gun is enhanced with Chimera’s explosive shot mod, that work too

Wtf is this bait post?

If you fight someone with sandy melee, take out your own melee, counter them, they get stunned, take out your shotgun and shoot them in the head.

Maybe don't skip the tutorial that teaches you how to fight against melee next time?

... or i can skip poorly made melee combat system altogether, get the broken bulletsponge stuck somewhere (or introduce good ol box as cyberpsychos apparently cant jump) and be done with poorly designed enemy in matter of few seconds with Tech weapon.

Countering sounds good on paper, less so in practice on higher difficulties lol. Especially since half the time game doesnt register it, same with dodges/dashes where enemy hits just even when he is chopping solid air you left second ago.

It's a fair complaint. I play on the hardest difficulty setting and sandevistan foes are, by far, the toughest nuts to crack. I am doing a netrunner/sniper build this go around and I would be pulling my hair out if I had to close into melee with these dudes. It's not "broken" in the way NGNG says, but it is a specific kind of challenge you have to figure out how to overcome, especially on the hardest diff where you can be murdered in seconds.

True.

Wouldn't that be a game where every enemy disappeared with a single click with no variation.

Now you're blaming the tutorial???

LOL.

You're using the wrong Sandevistan, then. I have a pure melee character on Very Hard swapping back and forth between the Apogee and the Militech Berserk and I've never had any issues.

Never had any issues landing a counter, either. Or just chaining Quake -> Dash/Air Dash -> shoulder charge and brute forcing the fight.

I hate when other people say this, but based on your posts here it sounds like a skill issue.

Literally just turn down the difficulty. I had a boss I think you're describing that I just couldn't do ♥♥♥♥ to because he would kill me in one hit every time and dodge everything. I turned the difficulty down one notch from Hard to Normal and it was much more fair.
