I can't be THIS close to the ending if I'm at 90%? I reckon Phantom Liberty is separte, but I've only met Hanako's bodyguard and gotten the plans for the parade.
Incidentally: it doesn't appear to go above 90% (not until you actually do the final mission)
(Also note: my first post was a copy/paste from a reddit answer I found. Those are not my own words, but that answer is generally in line with what I believe those percentages represent)
Did you do a slew of side missions?
Yes, I did. So side quests with long questlines aren't plentiful it seems?
The first one is a visualization of your reputation as a merc in Night City. It slowly rises to 90% whenever you do Missions, Gigs, etc. It then rises to 100% after doing the final mission (not sure about all endings though) giving V legendary status.
The second describes your relationship with Johnny. It does not mean you have to be nice to him all the time though. There are certain conversations where it rises if you are being a ♥♥♥♥ as well. Depends on Johnny's mood. ;)
The third shows you how far the Relic has progressed in killing V. This stat is directly tied to the main quests, but as it obviously can't go below a certain threshhold it's not really a good indicator on how far you have progressed in the story either.
Think of it more like a role-playing helper. The text changes along your journey and gives you an idea of where you're at.
While the in game consensus is J will swallow your inner self up, and you become J, he actually goes through something of a metorphosis himself, and at times displays unjohnny like introspection.
Not sure it was a glitch or not, but one of my playthrough near endings had a very weird argument between the two of them. The more I thought about it, the less it seemed a glitch. It was weird because it was so out of place for both their characters, based on my gameplay.
