This line about the chemistry is what Jackie says to V at the end of the Street Kid prologue.
I just began my 3rd playthrough in Cyberpunk and everytime I wonder what the game would have been if Jackie had been the main body of V. I think it's a huge error they made to ditch Jackie because he was a much better match than Johnny or Panam as the main sidekick for V.

I always wondered how things would've played out if it was Jackie whom took up Johnny Silverhand's engram since he almost died with the chip in him right there and then. Could've been interesting if the story was about saving your friend from the Relic instead of yourself while the Relic is taking him over and making him act unlike himself or even if the Relic did a full takeover by the time he kicked the bucket and now you're trying to get Jackie back before it's too late, or perhaps it already is.

They killed of THE BUDDY dude .........
So early in the game too.
Then they get us wimp romances like the vulgar and judgmental Judy and crybaby Panam....

I found Johnny lame at most moments, even not adding anything to the dialog. But also he had his good sides, not like Jackie, Jackie was the best buddy in the game. Wish I had him till the end, side by side.

But I've barely known Songbird by the time I've snuck into Dogtown and went looking for her. On the contrary, Jackie's the OG choom. We've got deeper history than some netrunner who couldn't even be bothered to protect the president of the NUSA by the time we get there. I've got more respect for Jackie than her even if Songbird's assistance was beneficial for my entry into Dogtown.

I really like your idea. It's much more interesting and dramatic to try to save your best buddy instead of yourself.

I certainly think the game would be better if the Personality we'd slot would be Jacky and not Johnny. I'd much rather spend the game with Jacky than Johnny. Can't stand Johnny and Keanu doesn't improve the situation one bit.

Don't get me wrong... i like Keanu, but i find Actors in Video games to terribly distracting, downright immersion breaking. It takes me out of the whole "Roleplay" aspect and constantly reminds me "this is just a video game".
