I'm with you. The concept of what you're doing when using a BD is cool AF to me.
My fav game is Duke Nukem 3D and I still enjoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of CP2077 or Braindance sequences, different products, differents moods, I'm not complaining about CP2077 'cause I can't run, fly and shoot everything at the same time like a bozo, I'm here for the story and immersion and BD sequences are neat for that.
If you don't like the concept it's a different thing, complaining about these being slow is nonsense considering the goal of the game.
