SSD Mode
I really think this game could benefit from an SSD mode. Thoughts?

Isn't normal mode SSD mode?

I don't think so. The HDD option for various crowd and loading adjustments makes me think it doesn't have an integrated SSD feature.

Maybe I am wrong though...

What is a SSD mode? I have played nearly every AAA game recently released and never saw that option in any game settings i always though games always benefited from the SSD to the fullest by default despite the engine limitations.

If you're installed on an SSD you're pretty much using its speed. You probably thinking of DirectStorage which can be 10-20 times faster on loading on NVMe drives. I don't think CDPR said DirectStorage is coming and at this point the performance would be minimal.

You press continue the game loads within a few seconds on an SSD, I don't get how much faster you would want it to be lol

There is no such thing as an ssd mode. NVMe's and regular SSDs have vastly faster read/write speeds and access times than old HDDs thus allowing to stream data faster than an HDD can. This results in faster loading times, game saves are accelerated, and a smoother experience can be achieved for games that load data in as you play (i.e. Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2).

HDD mode in Cyberpunk tries to minimize the restrictions of HDDs by allowing for less traffic, using less diversity in npc's, and similar tricks.

Do you recommend I turn that mode on or off?

Do you have a normal HDD? then turn it on, do you have an SSD or NVME? turn it off

Kinda explains itself by what its called

I installed this game in my HD since the release of 2.0, game running without any problem, just some lags.

The default value is set to 'auto', so I'd recommend not to touch it. ;)
