How do you do jumping takedowns?

Seen so many cool videos on YT with stealth focused builds doing melee finishers after jumping down on them from high ground. I don't see a prompt to execute any stealth kills while doing the same. Which perk/skill is this under???

You just jump on them.

It used to be a Ninjutsu perk called Hidden Dragon in the Cool skill tree, but since 2.0 it is an innate ability which isn't mentioned anywhere.

There are a few more innate abilities too[forums.cdprojektred.com].

So I just have to jump and land exactly on their heads and the animation will play out automatically? Can I do this without a melee weapon equipped? Or do I need a melee weapon (eg. Katana) to be in my hands before doing this?

Yup, nothing else is required other than just falling on them from above.

If you have Reinforced Tendons legware which allows you to double-jump it becomes even easier to perform.

I accidentally did this once, by landing a double jump on a cop's head while on my way towards some quest.
