Clothes with stats?

I picked up a few helmets, glasses and vests with stats, but I was wondering, where do you get the absolute best gear with stats? Do any vendors sell it or do you randomly loot it?

Since the stats on fear were only on loot I suppose you cannot buy such. Not that the few points have any real impact.

(1) Yes, some items have stat boots like +25 armor or +9% quickhack speed, etc. The benefits are typically minimal and not necessary for success, but they can help a bit in the early game.

(2) You can buy from vendors, but the offerings are just as good as what you find for free throughout regular gameplay.

Unlike ripperdocs now, clothing vendors are fairly specific in what they sell. For instance, if you're looking for yoro pants you'll only find them (random if they are available each time or not) at the Japantown store, and the outdoor vendor in Kabuki.

I'm finding the random clothing drops happen a lot in Dog Town in the Phantom Liberty expansion

Since 2.0, clothing is no longer a solid factor in your character's stats; rather, their cyberware is. This frees up clothing to be primarily for fashion, with a few pieces adding some benefits. I have seen the grenade belt that gave a little addition to my grenades, and the netrunner accessories that added a little to my quickhacks. But overall, if you want good stats, you need to invest in your cybernetics.

But if you are looking for the few pieces that still have stats, I'd say go to the netrunners for some, and clothing vendors in the more dangerous parts of the city for others.

Struggling to find info on all this but I have never seen stats on legs nor shoes… or outfits.

Head face and outer torso is pretty common, I have only once found a inner torso with stats and that’s the light elastomer net running suit

As of Patch 2.0, only the following give stats: Face, Head, Outer Torso and Inner Torso. Boots and Pants do not give stats.

These stats are preset according to quality; So for example a Common BD Wreath regardless of appearance will give 5% upload speed while a Legendary one will yield 10%.

All vendors generally will sell a piece or two of stat-boosting gear but the highest concentration can be found in Pacifica; The West Wind Estate clothing vendor and the two vendors in Dog Town.
