I mean... while I completely agree... I think we can use some basic assumptions to determine that the most likely outcome of such polling data would be that most people play female V. How do we know this? Because women almost always play females in games and males often times play females in games. Now while it's arguable around how many men play females in games I think it's safe to say that between the women playing female characters and the men playing them we could probably come to the conclusion that Female V is probably the most popular.
"I have conditions of my own. 1. I want a cellmate. 2. I want a big wok. 3. I don't want to be in prison anymore." as Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Too bad Night City isn't as lighthearted as that. I'd love to hear some outtakes. (BG3 has a couple of sets of outtakes from the narrator.)
Besides Voice Acting and different dialogue, i love the new animations for walking/sitting and stuff like that, even the shoes (high heels) sound different. Love the little details and it opens a new experience for me.
Since I'm used to heavily modding games I know my way around all necessary assets, like textures, animations, meshes, rigs etc - so taking what community has done as a lego-puzzle and crafting something remarkable out of it is part of the challenge.
In CP2077 I don't like almost all female characters... save Judy. But it's impossible to romance her as male V and she still got some stuff I don't like. Which is why when I need to scratch that itch for "beauty" - female V it is.
God no.
I need some solid Cargo Pants without accoutrements or advertisements or racing stripes. Preferbly Gray or Black.
Maybe some Blue Jeans. Again Solid Color without Chaffs, Logo's, etc (And not the slimfit ones, tried those). I went through most of the game with the sweat pants ones with the Undercoating (Leather undering) for lack of better options.)
Most of the clothing has some style or flair frill stuff that ruins it for me. I am very picky what my V wears.
Male V sounds like Moe Szyslak from the Simpsons trying to be gangsta.
Male V sounds like Duke Nukem if somebody punched him in the throat.
Male V sounds like a background extra in a Three Stooges movie.
When Bioware released the collected statistics after Mass Effect 3, it said that 80% of people played MaleShep.
So just because you keep seeing people talk about & post screenshots of their female V, doesn't mean that "everyone" is playing her.
(I don't have an issue playing female characters in games that give the option, because the character is NOT me. Regardless of the game's perspective. Probably related to the thing where I don't do "immersion", either. /shrug)
