Pls help with monowire build
please help me figure out how to properly build a monowire.
This is my first playthrough so I don’t want to ruin the whole game for myself with a bad build

Pre-2.0, the monowire scaled with blade perks in the Reflexes tree. After the 2.0 update this is no longer the case and monowire damage only appears to scale with Intelligence as a couple of perks for it can be found there.

So to make the most of the monowire you should build a high Intelligence character taking advantage of netrunning/quickhacks alongside monowire attacks to quickly restore RAM, which is the resource that you spend to use quickhacks.

If you have the Phantom Liberty DLC the monowire can eventually get an additional upgrade that allows it to combo even better with netrunning, although I won't spoil exactly what that is here.

Proper monowire build: Use literally any other weapon.

Even after 2.0, it's not that great and heavily outclassed by literally everything else.

I use Monowire alongside hacking. I'm maxed out on intelligence and I'm also a strong healthy girl (body), so I can go in close. Technical is always useful of course and there is cyberware that restores health and ram on kill. I play on hard and it works great, can't say if it's viable on very hard of course.

I just went with my guts but you find several 2.0 hacking/monowire builds on youtube. I think it always needs to be combined with hacking, monowire isn't for a melee only build, there are better options for that.

it is a tool to help ram regeneration for hacking. If you are not building as a netrunner it is best to stay away from it. And even if you are a netrunner gorilla hand is a much better option since it compensate the low strength attribute.
