Anyone Else Missing shadows on Main Character (Photo mode w/ Raytracing On)
For some reason, it appears like the female Vs characters body is not creating shadows in the game photo mode with ray tracing on. This happens with RT psycho lighting and even the path tracing.

Shadows appear fine in first person, but partially disappear on parts of the body in photo mode.

If the character is fully clothed in long sleeves, pants, etc the shadows appear, but shorts, vests (anything that reveals skin) they disappear. Very odd bug - anyone else have it?

are you sure:
- you're using a female character
- you are using the Sun lighting - not street lights or car lights etc
- you have RT lighting on (RT Phycho or path tracing) - game works fine with non-RT lighting
- you have taken off all long sleeve clothing - (ex. try with w/ character in underwear only)
if you've done those 4 things and it still works for you - then it might be an issue on my end....

As far as I know everyone has this issue but it only affects shadows cast by sunlight specifically. I asked a friend to reproduce it on a completely different character and machine and they had it as well. It's just something people run into a lot less since it requires raytracing, photo mode, sunlight AND the body has to be in a position to cast shadows (clothing-wise). I already reported it as a visual bug to CDPR via their ticket system but who knows if it's important enough to be fixed.

Thank you soo much for confirming. I tried it on a fresh install and fresh drivers and it always happened even without a trace of modding to the game. I guess due to the combination of factors you need to get it to visible - its not very well known (since consoles don't have RT lighting)....

unfortunately, i don't think CDPR will ever fix it - strangely though, some modder was able to fix it for the male character model on Nexus mods - he said the same fix didnt work for the female though.

Hopefully someone figures it out because the only way to see your character is in photomode and certain clothes just look bad in RT sunlight due to this glitch...
Thanks again for your comment.

I've talked to that modder directly and he fixed one of the reasons why shadows didn't appear for male V but they were perfectly fine for female ones and he just copied over that RT behaviour. I've managed to kinda fix it for fem V by making a different approach. It's not perfect but it works.
