Is performance on Dogtown good for you?
I'm playing on 2070 Super, Intel i7 10700H, 32 GB RAM, installed on an NVME and 1080p with DLSS set on Quality. Custom settings, which just lowers the rendering distance of some stuff and RTX on local and sun shadows.
On the base game I get above 60 fps most of the time, never below 60, which is why I capped it. But on Dogtown it lowers to 30, which never happened. Is anyone experience something like this? :royce:

I use a 3070, I7 12700 KF, and have 32 GB RAM. I use high settings, DLSS Quality, and no RTX. I have consistent performance problems in Dog Town. Dips to the 50s while driving around or in combat, and constantly have stuttering because the game drops to the 20s. Im pretty sure this is due to GPU usage drops, I suggest you check if thats the same for you. And mind you it does run better in Night City like your experience.

I'm gonna check it later, because it was running fine for a while, during the first missions.

I've only had it run "good" on one mission a gig. So please tell me if you find anything out.

Do i read it correct that you have Ray Tracing on? If yes i should really disable that, it gives a huge fps boost on 2070 cards.

I've been seeing quite a few drops in Dogtown, yes.

i have a 3080ti and 5800x3d. With max raytracing settings (not overdrive) I get 80fps in base game and around 70 in dogtown, im pleasantly surprised with the performance im getting.

Game runs fine but dogtown if things are going on it drops into the 50's.

Runs flawless for me. Graned I'm on a 7900 XTX. But also running 4K Ultra. Not a single hitch.

Most performance issues I've seen are being CPU bound. The DLC and 2.0 update really smash the CPU and most gamers aren't used to that.

as someone mentioned the update makes the game use more cpu resources i actually have more performance now than i did before since my 5800x is able to stretch its legs now and i have an all core oc set to 4.9ghz and its buttery smooth

Dogtown looks waay denser geometry/asset amount wise considering its smaller scale vs original districts. Not surprised its got higher GPU/CPU requirements.

Then they should have optimized it better this ♥♥♥♥ is getting embarrassing at this point devs are getting more lazy with every new release now this ♥♥♥♥ has to stop.
I bet they thought everyone could just use framegen to generate magic frames to get it playable or something like that.

I found the issue for me. Reinstalled GPU drivers in Geforce Experience. Doubled FPS and eliminated fps drops/stuttering.

Unfortunately the new system requirements are real. Dogtown market area 30fps.
The graphics are gorgeous but there is an embarrassing fps drop.
3080, 1440p dlss quality , rtx Ultra , ryzen 5 5600x.

Can I ask you how many fps you get at Dogtown weapons market? Dlss and resolution?

I'm on a 3080 with raytracing on and Intel i7 13700k 32gb ram everything overclocked. I'm getting 30 in Dogtown market and 25 sometimes in some areas. Also fps drops to 6 sometimes when I unpause my game
