PC good enough to handle this?
Topic. I don't trust recommended hardware anymore on Steam pages so I'm wondering if anyone with similar hardware knows if I could run this with my current specs. I'd heard that unless you have a 4080 or something then it might not be enough to run on high settings. TIA!

CPU: Ryzen 3700X
GPU: RTX 2080 super
Memory: 16GB 3000mhz
MOBO: Taichi B550

with DLSS you should be running this fine, as when this game first dropped i had the same GPU as you but crappy CPU and it ran 50-76 FPS 1440P with high-maxxed out settings. With your CPU should run like butter i mean don't expect 120plus frames but you will be at least 70-90fps depending on res of course

NO way do you need a 4080 to run this game on high. 2080 should be able to handle high. Maybe around 60 FPS if you run 2K.

If you want to play Overdrive mode you need beast GPU

Run the game at maximum without Ray Tracing. 1080 p or 2k.
The game has improved performance.

Fired it up today to make sure the update wouldn't melt my PC before getting Phantom Liberty. Everything but my CPU meets or exceeds the min requirements. 2.0 actually seemed to have improved my performance a bit, where areas I used to drop from 60 to about 45 fps are now only dropping to 50fps, with most settings at high with a few at medium. Not bothering with Raytracing or DLSS since I'm still using a 1080p monitor.

Specs are: Core i7-4770, RTX 3060 ti, 32gb RAM 1600mhz....definitely getting long in the tooth but replacing everything but the vid card is a next year expense.

Fortunately, I have a beast of a GPU

You should be fine. I recently upgraded from a 3060 to a 4070. On my 3060, I played on high settings with DLSS Q at 1440p. That got me about 45-50 fps. So your rig should be more than fine since the 2080 is more powerful than a 3060.

lol..GUy is not running Ray Tracing. I ran it on high 1440p with my GTX 1080 ti. NOw with my GT 7900 XT i run at 100+FPS Ultra 2K. easily. and thats just because I have FPS limited to 100.GPU never goes over 65%.

Yeah you'll be fine just turn off rtx i think
Cinder Sep 25, 2023 @ 2:02pm
turn off ray tracing and you'll be fine. i played it on high settings on release with a gtx 1080 at 1440p. I will say playing now with a 3090ti with everything maxed including raytracing i get a stable 60 fps most times but it does drop into the high 40 range sometimes. i am not using the new dlss 3.5 stuff as it drops it pretty hard. But man this game looks amazing with the proper hardware. This is the first game i've where RTX really makes a difference in visuals well this and guardians of the galaxy.

I ran this with a 2070 Super. My monitor is 4k but I don't know if I was actually playing in 4k or just ran the game in 1440 or something. Anyway, it ran well enough to beat the game on whatever settings I used.

If you aren't concerned with maxing everything out, it should run fine.

If no ray tracing then yes. I have rtx 2070 and it runs perfectly fine. Idk about amd cpu's tho, it could bottleneck you.
