Clean Run, no cyberware
Would be nice if we could choose to stay pure, without any cyberware in the system.

So, there's really no way around the fact that you need cybernetics to exist in this setting.
There is a sequence in the arasaka tower (I will not say more to avoid spoilers), where the characters have no implants and they use a device (whatever it was called) to hack etc. I would love a mod which implements that instead of how it is handled by the game by default.

Having said that... there is also the issue of Johnny, and how it would affect him.

in the original 2020 setting you could get away with it (with pretty major drawbacks depending on your class) but by the point of 2077, cyberware is pretty much mandatory. Even things like net runner decks are no longer made as external laptop things, but are now all cyberware. Not to mention that smart links and at least some some degree of eye mod is pretty much expected for everyone just to get around in society.

Unfortunately those kiroshy cannot be removed. But I wondered to, if it could be a fun run and roleplay. Somekind of Togusa from GitS xD

they replace a single eyeball or?

I always flinch at the start of the game, anyway also really liked doublejump, this was all I used for my first playthrough, doublejump.

Later I went with gorilla arms and sandevistan for the second play through, I believe I tried only sandevistian but it felt overpowered, yes ofc, I used it with another build, because I couldn't progress in the boxing matches.

Felt like a zombie, and back then there was no cyberwarecost.

could be a single eye, both eyes, or just a replacement of the lens/iris. Technically you could use somekind of smart glasses but by the time of 2077, cyberware has become so normal that even fashionware (like the eyes with designs in them or the chrome teeth) is incredibly common to the point you might be weird for not having any.

you don't see any in the game here (apart from that one pop star), but in the books there's all kinds of cosmetic and functional skin eye, and teeth replacements. People getting gold/chrome skin, animal fur and fangs, transparent outer layers so you can see their insides. all kinds of stuff.

And even in a place like Night City, I'm sure there are still thousands upon thousands of people who choose not to get augmented, or choose minimal augmentation.

For example gorilla arms, if you have them, do you still have a sense of touch with them?

As you progress to enhance yourself, I believe you need to fine tune everything, keep it at a low level, every mechanism polstering the weakness of another mod, like if you got the double jump, you need also better bones, not only better muscles, then ofc everything that isn't of the new material will come under more strain.

And in the end your brain can't keep up with all the data.

Yes, you still have a sense of touch, probably even a superior one to basic meat. as for the brain not being able to keep up, that's what co-processors are for.

You're never not clean, you start with already cyberware installed (the link, an eye implant and a chip slot). Then one of the first main objective is to upgrade your eye and get a hand cyberware.

and even before that v already has a cellphone implant installed like 99% of the population of night city.

id say that never upgrading from what vik gave you is considered very very clean for solo standards which would be good enough for me.
