Game starts lagging after opening a few menus
Hello,
I've haven't seen anyone here yet with the same issue.
After a while (like 30-60 miinutes into the game) the game laggs after opening/closing a menu. It doesn't matter which one.
However I often see people saying that it just shortly laggs after closing the inventory etc. but for me it stays at like 30 fps and then drops to the lower 20s until I restart the game.
This problem firstly appeared after the 2.0 update. In the previous version the game worked perfectly. I could downgrade the game but I want to play through this game with the changes made in 2.0

What I tried so far:
- updating and downgrading the dlss version (3.1.1 is installed but there is a newer version 3.5.0 available online) but that didn't help.
- Setting the dlss into the performance mode.
- Lowering every single setting (Got better fps overall but after a while it again starts to dipp into the lower 20s for no reason)

My rig:
RTX 3080
Ryzen 9 5950x
3440x1440 @ 144hz
32GB @ 3200MHz
Game is also installed on an NVME SSD as the new requirements for the game suggested

14gb vram usage at 4k yes. I think Consoles got more Vram to throw at cyberpunk so 8 or 10GB really was not a good buy. It just sucks, but it is what it is.

Nvidia should have released the 3080 with 16gb of ram since it was competing with the 6800XT.

I found the fix. Just set the texture quality to medium. I was using high.

I have a DLSS capable card and it still happens.
And I take back what I said. It still happens after a while and you will eventually need to restart the game. It's just that it happens much later.

The actual problem since the 2.0 update is that there is a memory leak. the VRAM usage gets up to 100%. So as soon as all your vram is used by cyberpunk the game starts to lag. Thats why you experienced the lag way later when you've set the texture quality to medium.

Since there is no fix for this right now (not even after the 2.01 update) the only way to play this game is to turn off ray tracing completly.

Ok then it my "fix" maybe just works for graphic cards with 10GB or more VRAM.
Maybe try lowering the texture quality too. since the 3070ti has just 8gb of vram that might be the problem.
I've just disabled RT and could play 5-6 hours without any problems so far.
