Stutter/Lag when entering and exiting menus.
All settings are set to ultra at 1440p with DLSS set to 'quality'. I have ray-traced pathing disabled as it's still only a technical preview, and I get a much more stable FPS without it on. Unfortunately, whenever I enter or exit menus, it lags to a crawl. It only takes roughly 20 seconds to correct itself, but still, this is an issue. I started experiencing this once 2.0 dropped. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, are there any possible solutions? I saw that this was an issue in the past, but this is my first time experiencing it.

Current Specs:
4070ti
intel i9-9900k
32gb ram
1440p

Having the same issue with 3080, 1440p, 16 gb, all on ultras.
Also after doing this for a couple of times, the fps in general starts dropping. And in an hour or two I need to restart the game to "flush" and it goes back to normal.

There's definetely a leak somewhere.
Hoping for a quick fix from cdpr

The fix to that is the following:

Disable all raytracing options (uncheck all square marks)
SET DLSS to "NO".

The game looks beautiful and runs smoothly after that.

my game was stuttering and getting laggy every time i opened the map, the options above worked for me to solve it.

(Sorry about my english if im writting some words uncorrectly)

Wish u the best :D

Dont use any upscaling AI technology (A.K.A DLSS, DLAA, FIDELITYFX, ETC.). Just let the game run on his own.

I have my graphic drivers up to date. 3070 here 1080p all on ultra.

Its a issue that its been present ever since 1.5 and devs still haven't fixed it...

Its a known memory leak that to this day, so better hope that by 3.0 they'll have it fixed.

its weird because i played when 1.6 released and there were no leaks.
got triggered somehow with 2.0

Had this problem before and it was fixed by a patch. Now since 2.0 the problem is back. Hopefully they fix it again soon.

2.0 worked perfectly for me, im running a 4090 since about 2 weeks combined with an i9 13900.

Ray Tracing: OFF
Path Tracing: OFF
DLSS: Quality
Frame Generation: OFF

game runs at 70 frames after the phantom patch with above settings. 2.0 worked like a charm with ray tracing enabled, what happened?

the map lag i deleted usersettings.json from C:\Users\xxxxxl\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 as someone had mentioned in another post and it got rid of it, just be aware it will reset your graphics settings and keybinds to default

Although my menu was just slightly lagging on the map not 20 secs like you said so maybe its a different issue.

I Agree. I think the issue is definitely a memory leak. In all honesty it seems to stop once you restart the game, but it comes back within an hour of playing. I don't think disabling rt or dlss is a fix or worth doing if you can just restart the game to fix it. I just hope CDPR fixes it soon. It can be quite distracting sometimes especially in the middle of combat if you have to access the menu for whatever reason.

Rebooting the game seems to be a temporary fix. Not sure if your fix will fix it permanently. If not, i'll just keep restarting the game when it becomes bothersome until they fix it I guess.

Funny that you say that because i booted up the game and played a bit before 2.0 release. Played for several hours and the slow down never happened so the issue is definitely apart of path 2.0 that resurfaced.

I have the same problem. I had to find out that V seems to be the problem itself, or rather his model (I choose male). Try changing many clothes quickly in the menu. I can trigger it immediately with that. And in some conversations where V is loaded due to animations and such, it also appears for me. Anyway, V appears in almost all menus and narrowing down the problem would help. You could check if this is also the case for you
