Called my own car;
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3199798199
but hey!, it's better than GTA... they drive off cliffs on that game
This happens all the time, and its ridiculous. I mean how are we "supposed" to drive in this game? I'm super cautious in real life when I drive, but when I play this game my best bet is to hop on a motorcycle and drive illegally zooming past other cars by driving on the line. All because I can't count on the AI to drive properly.
Also I don't understand why the AI has to rear end the back of my vehicle after waiting too long, they should be able to go around the player without causing damage to four vehicles. 1. Theirs, 2. Mine, 3. the Car in front of me, and 4. the Incoming traffic in the other lane. I could excuse the AI doing this if it didn't cause so much havoc all around but the AI just isn't designed in a satisfactory way. These AI inflicted accidents happen too often, if they were less frequent I'd find them funny.
Cyberpunk also needs people doing things wrong when driving. This will be an interesting thing to see in the next CP, but superficially right now, it looks like a complex and sensible traffic system processing at long range may be possible with low impact.
Well yeah, the city itself is amazing. The devs did an amazing job on creating this world.
But yes, there is that 20'th time..
Popular mishaps include, but are not limited to:
A car stalls out at an intersection infront of you, and the car behind you decides to go full RAMMING SPEED because he was made to wait a whole 3 seconds too long.
You drive past a car, and he suddenly decides that this would be an amazing time to do a lane change. Bonus points if he actually punts you into oncomming traffic in the process.
A driver manages to damage his own car, often by clipping a guard rail, and goes into a full on panick. Bonus points if he manages to smash into several other cars and puts them into panick mode aswell, for that added metal carnage and pedestrians flying everywhere.
But more often than not, it's those incredibly sudden lane changes that will get you.
Isn't that realistic though ?
Do you own either cyberpunk or starfield? Do you even own any Bethesda games?
Neither cyberpunk or starfield I would call full of bugs. THe driving ai is not as bad as the op dramatically states. he over states very mild cases of ai bugs that I'd hesitate to even call bugs (speeding and car crashes). He ignores more serious driving issues I would definitely call bugs, and I'll let him state them assuming he's even seen them happen.
people can be real quick to slam games, especially games they haven't even played and experience vicariously through word of mouth...
But cyberpunk isn't a bad game in fact its a great game. Plenty of "buggy" games have still been great: morrowind (bethesda) and vampire masquerade bloodlines.
