I gave up. I'll let this game stew for a few months when it's in a more playable state.....hopefully.
I believe what you are referring to happens AFTER, the next morning. I never got that far.
I was very excited to play this game again and spent a good amount of time modding the game and everything, only to be met with one roadblock after another. Even after erasing everything and starting over, nothing changed! I wasn't too thrilled about all that time wasted for no good reason.
For me, this game is unplayable. There are plenty of other games to play. This one will be revisited when it actually works.
Not that your first post even makes clear which quest you mean, whereas the OP is clearly about the later quest (because Jackie drives out of the garage, not you; you drive in the later quest).
