DLSS 2.

The 40 series has 3.0 with AI Frames I believe.

Can run dlss 2 and 3.5 (3.0 and 3.5 contains features that are only being used by the 40x series)

I had read about nvidia having said they were going to release a new technology for all rtx series, it was even written in the geforce experience about 5 weeks ago

Unfortunatly not, at the moment, the devs implemented 3.5 but to utilise the features meant for all rtx cards, you need to do some tweaking in the config files (ray reconstruction this feature is for all rtx cards, but cdpr linked it to path tracing which is a 40x feature)

Good luck with that on a 2060. My 2070 super can't use any of that fancy stuff unless I want 10fps.

Technically RayReconstruction (what's being marketed as 3.5) will work on a 2060, as it runs on Tensor. Probably not all that well though.

Currently it only works with Overdrive (path tracing) mode though with plans for it to properly come to hybrid raster/RT modes (though it is possible to hack it to work in conjunction with the hybrid RT denoisers).
ok
thank you

It should run around 5-10% better with it on as it combines multiple hand tuned denoisers to a single trained Neural Network. However, its only available if you use Pathtracing, so... yeah forget Ray Reconstruction (on a 2060 atleast)

Yeah, does seem to show a small improvement in this using it if you're able to. Though NV did say that may not always be the norm.

Ancdotally, I'm seeing an overall improvement using it and with SMT on.

Nvidia with CDP did great advertisement announcing everyone with any RTX card can use DLSS 3.5
Yet they suspicously forgot to mention small detail
You are obligated to use graphic setting that tanks your performance
So you are unable to run if you don't have something like RTX 4080
So no you can't use it
Dammn corpos

You can realistically only run the game with DLSS 2.0 with the 2060. The cards "understands" and runs the Ray reconstruction 3.5, but the problem is that the Ray Reconstruction only works in... RT Overdrive mode. Which the 2060 simply can't survive in.

Get 4090
Im on a 2070S and used 3.5 on RDR2. Saw a slight improvement. Nothing drastic, havent attempted with this game.
