I used my one respec to switch over to reflexes for blades and prefer it a lot more.
I find it amazing that people want to 'netrun' right from the start, doing full neutralise and/or nullfication with just a few perk points.
Give yourself time to acquire enough points to be a threat, and/or play more strategically (and pace yourself) for the early levels of it. Yes, you might want to finish a group off with a shotgun or some pistol headshots, but you can be crafty and wear down a big group with some pacing and a bit of patience.
If you think you should be able to easily clear a room/building by netrunning at only the 2nd level (9), then what else is left for the rest of the game?
--------------
So, you weren't happy with netrunning and finishing with guns, but instead took reflexes to start and end with blades/melee? Why not netrun with blades, and do both?
Why would I treat netrunner different than any other build?
I could netrun with blades, or I could use blades with a sandevistan. The sandevistan route gets off of the ground almost instantly and has fewer dependencies.
I wouldn't say instantly. You can't even buy a Sandevistan until level 10.
working well on Hard
probably going to spend the rest on cyberware perks
dash is great, you can just zip around everywhere on foot
I'd say level 10 is almost instant compared to even just getting a regular netrunner build.
The limitations are pretty similar, if you ask me. You can't use your early Sandevistan very much, once per fight at best. So you're mainly relying on your weapon perks and abilities. From the Netrunner side, you can only utilize your early Cyberdeck once or twice per fight, and you're mostly going to rely on your weapon perks and abilities.
Once you get into a high level Sandevistan, you can do whatever you want weapon wise, and the same is true for high level Cyberdecks.
The difference is that one use of sandevistan is going to result in multiple kills, and the sandevistan itself only is only using the OS slot and your reflex attribute.
For netrunner, you need the cyberdeck itself, quickhacks (which are seemingly more expensive than actual cyberware), multiple pieces of other cyberware for ram and other supporting effects, intelligence, and perks. It's just way too many resources to tie up into such a lackluster result.
What's the total number of Attribute points we get now? In the old game it was 71...
That's fair, though I will say that you're not going to get multiple kills with the early Sandy without a decent amount of attack speed Cyberware, because early melee is SLOOOOWW.
Not as much as Netrunning though, you're right.
