People falling from buildings

Okay so I´ve seen this 4 times now, that out of nowhere some random npc jumps off a building committing suicide, is this a bug or some sick event?

4x? Uh, are you sure you didnt reload 4x on the same spot? There is one area that I know of which is scripted that an NPC jumps down. But that is the only one.

Same problem. I can't imagine this is intentional, because it happens WAY too often. I go to some vendor or a ripper doc and hear "THUD", go out and yep, it's another one of those guys laying in the middle of the street.

Was hella confused at first before I figured out they were jumping... Or maybe just spawning in the air and then falling? No idea. Once or twice was kind of neat. Now it's really annoying because most of the city is running around screaming due to seeing raining bodies.

Apparently this always used to be a thing, but I've never seen it in such amounts and so often. It's not one place either. It's all over Nightcity.

They're people who have Hard Drives.

There are scripted events with it.

But it can also be a result of bad pathing and even a symptom of physics screwing up because system isn't living up to settings.

(I've not seen either yet with 2.0)

Had it happen in all of my prior 4 playthroughs.

Iirc it's only supposed to be at one specific spot, and happen once. Maybe that's changed with the update.
Fwiw I could see plenty of people in that city opting for that choice, or being thrown from buildings...either or.

Your story still doesn't hold a candle to what happened to me yesterday. I was out for a stroll in night city when I suddenly started to hear a woman moaning. I turned my head, thinking I would be fortunate to see some cyber hankie pankie. What I saw was five people sitting around a burning trash can. In the middle was a lady in a crouched position. On fire. Eventually a second woman stood up, approached the flames and caught on fire as well. Now, we have two burning women in the group. Suddenly, the first woman drops dead from her injuries and a man in the group screams:F this I am out! and runs like his life depended on it.

I always linked it to information on a certain shard. Sandra Dorsett's talking about Night Corp experiments on their own staff.

Am I remembering rightly that the scripted one actually has people in the street who talk about it between themselves? Been a long while since I've seen it.

I had very similar to this happen in a prior playthrough.
Came across a camp with a lady sitting in a fire, then a guy walks into it and catches fire. They stay there and panic and die. I laughed.

I was gonna refer a certain country built on success and stress and crammed trains but refrained from it. They also have entire forest dedicated to it
