read the perks it has 1 skill that give you 100% untraceable if you takedown someone
As others have mentioned there are perks which you can take to reduce the trace progress by doing various things and there's one which reduces it by a 100% if you perform a takedown on an enemy from behind, but stopping it completely is not possible. Once it starts your entire stealth segment at that point is on a timer until all the bad guys are dead.
You can avoid it however through the use of Sonic Shock and then queuing any other quickhack after it. Sonic Shock is a stealth Netrunner's new best friend in 2.0.
Personally speaking I do not like that it's just a global gimmicky timer, taking out a dedicated group's Netrunner should stop the trace.
As far as I know, a takedown is when you sneak up on somebody and use a takedown. So you just might be doing it wrong.
A takedown is grabbing someone and breaking their neck/knocking them out i believe, kinda stupid when you think about it seeing as most hacking is done from far away.
But I don't really mind it I don't think because just uploading quickhacks and watching everyone die with no danger to yourself whatsoever was not exciting. I don't mind being forced out of stealth and doing more gunplay along with quickhacks.
