Glitch through the elevator an fall to my death in heist mission

Is any one else having this problem? I am on the part of the heist where you go into the elevator with Jackie to go to the room. But every time i press the button to go up and the elevator moves i glitch through the elevator and fall. Any fixes? I lowered graphic settings, updated graphics drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

i have the same problem :/ idk what to do..
Edit : i put my setting graphic at the lowest (everything on low or off) and disabled everything and it worked

maybe try to move while you're in the elevator?? i did that with my setting as low as possible and it worked

This is a horrible bug, and shouldn't even be in the game beyond version 1.0. All I can suggest is loading an earlier save game. Be sure to report the bug to CDProjektRED because something like this is gamebreaking seeing as how the elevator is required at Konpeki Plaza to proceed.

For some people it's definitely a streaming issue - which is why turning settings to lowest and then loading in will work. (If that does work for you - may want to just dial your usual settings back a bit if you keep running into weird glitches where stuff isn't loading in. Scenery, animations, heads on NPCs.... etc.)

It's those who say they're above min specs and lowest settings don't work which confuse me. Scenery not loading in properly? That's weird. Definitely bug report.

Had that happen myself, figured out that moving back and forth as the elevator goes up keeps me from falling.

This can sound weird but are you trying to take the quest marked elevator? in another post with the same issue the guy was trying to take the wrong elevator by mistake.

Tried that and it actually sent me through the wall. Still died to fall damage. Tried again on the left and I barely made it (starting sinking into the ground but not through). Thank you.

It seems like there's multiple ways to get around this, but, yeah, shouldn't be in the game.

Had this happening to me also. I turned off Vsync and it worked.. This was the only setting change i made.

For me all I did was hold W and face the keypad. I did't have to change settings and I was able to get to the 42nd floor

There is a fix coming whenever 2.01 is released.

V will no longer die in The Heist by falling through the elevator when riding to the 42nd floor with low FPS.
