Minimap GPS Quest Tracking

I posted this on the big bug post discussion board but for some reason when I track a quest, the line on the minimap / gps tracker showing you what route to take is completely gone. If I open the main map it's there. But on the minimap there's nothing. Incredibly frustrating when trying to drive around to locations and you don't know the actual route (that may have you temporarily going backwards to get back on a freeway or something for example).

Anyone have similar issues and if they managed to find a fix?

try to open the big map, use the right mouse button to untrack and track the target. When I had it untracked in the big map, it also stopped showing in the minimap. Maybe that will fix your issue.

still doesnt work :(

ive also tried messing with every Interface option for the map/minimap and nothing works. Still no GPS tracking line

Yeah man im hoping theres some sort of 2.1 patch or something that drops with the DLC that addresses this. I cant find anyone else talking about it

Honestly totally understandable. I would say its still playable but its extremely annoying.

I know this is a few months old, but I still have this problem. I don't know when it started as I haven't played the game in months and loaded it back up to play the DLC. It's so frustrating.

My issue has since been resolved but I remember when I was figuring this out, I reinstalled the game and removed all mods. However I remember finding a random file from the old Better Minimap mod that was popular when the game first released. I dont remember exactly but since i removed all mods, I believe this random file was in the "bin --> x64 --> plugins?" file path. Again, I dont remember exactly where this file was but I 100% found it even though I thought I removed all mods. After straight up deleting that mod my issue was fixed.

TLDR: quadruple triple check that you have in fact removed all traces of mods in your game's directory to have the game in the most vanilla state possible. Hopefully something like this fixes your problem.

I have no mods loaded. Nor have I ever had any loaded. I am also having this issue.

Had this happen the other day while playing for some hours. Fixed it by saving the game and then closing and reopening the game.
