For a myriad of reasons ranging from:
objectification to let's try different quests to whatever floats your boat.
No i never use women as a character in games. I have tried it with cyberpunk for the first time. I did try it a woman in baldur's gate 3 for a couple of hours but then switched back to male. I am trying to play as woman in this game but the patch 2.0 has messed it up.
But she lacks that buddy-cop energy with Johnny, that only 2 lads could have. And I believe that's what CDPR were going for. Its also true with Takemura, to an extent.
Recall as many buddy-cop type movies and stories as you can; the dynamic always changes when its a man and a woman, rather than just two guys. And so, it never happens in stories.
Funnily, as a woman, this is the first RPG where my first character was a guy.
What a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
