I'm talking about Frame Generation, not Ray Reconstruction. Frame Generation makes DLSS to generate additional frames in between normal ones based on the changes between them.
2 frames are generated in normal way, then few ones 'in between' are generated by DLSS, then they all are sent to output one after another. Will slightly increase input lag probably.
DLSS 3.5 can generate 8 of 9 frames in this way afaik, so it can drastically increase fps for 20xx series. At least on paper and in youtube videos, so I wanted to check it out in reality :)
I tried to force the game to run with it by changing config file manually, but it did not help.
So no high fps gaming in Cyberpunk for me, it seems.
Frame generation is separate from the super sampler. Nvidia naming isn't great. It will only work with 4xxx cards as they have the required optical flow accelerator hardware.
FS3 frame generation will be a driver feature on AMD Adrenalin, exclusive to AMD cards.
That is incorrect. Fluid Motion Frames is AMD only. FSR3 is supported by all card manufacturers, and the FG will work with NVIDIA cards going back to the 20xx series.
Just look it up on youtube.
I have to agree with this, the more RT, PT DLSS crap you enable, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game looks.
Sure, lights etc. are maybe awesome, but the rest, expecially faces on NPCs are total trash.
All this fancy tech, including FSR3 is far from being perfect...
I used to agree, but I have to say after the 2.0 and the DLSS 3.5 patches, the image quality has improved dramatically. To the point where I'm comfortable just leaving DLSS on Auto with FG..
This coming from a man who thinks sacrificing 70% of performance and thousands of euros on a GPU to get 3% softer shadows is entirely acceptable and almost a bargain.
Yes, I know I'm sick.. but there are no support groups for image quality fe.. enthusiasts.
