Looted weapons now disappear.
So, started a new game no mods clean install.
Did a few NCPD missions, looted a ton of weapons, went to sell a few and deconstruct some for their materials, but only had 1 weapon that actually went into my inventory.
They have redesigned the game to make looting and crafting a big part of the system, but looting is completely broken if you cant actually gain anything form looting because the items disappear from your inventory. CDPR, what the hell are you doing?

Apparently looted weapons that disappear are broken and automatically torn down for scrap.

Nothing disappears.

A part of the weapons you loot get flagged as 'broken' and are automaticaly scrapped, maybe half.
They simply reduced the efford to sort through the loot and scrap.

so ive done a bunch of ncpd side missions and the jantaro mission, half the weapons the enemy have you cant loot because they vanish before you can loot them. and yes instead of giving you the choice to sell weapons or break them down into components, the game automatically breaks down 90% or more of the weapons and gear you do loot, ive not seen my carry capacity go over 24/200, which makes carry capacity upgrading obsolete, and you cant make any eddies by looting now.

try doing an ncpd side mission with a lot of enemy ncp's, and then tell me how many enemy weapons you can pick up, maybe 2 or 3, because they disappear you cant loot them as they are not there, and the ones you do loot 90% get broken down automatically and you no longer have the choice to sell them, you walk away form a massive gun battle with maybe one gun and zero pieces of item clothing because as I say they are automatically disassembled.
Doing this breaks the entire economy of the game.

Guys seriously, dial down the hyberbole a bit.

I actually took the efford to take screenshot of any weapon I looted for half an hour.
No weapon just disappers.
From the weapon I collected 51% were flagged as broken and scrapped. As I said, about half.
And I carried home 255 pounds of loot.

(if an opponent has no weapon to loot, just look around on the ground. When they had it in hand when they died, they porobably dropped it).

The majority of weapons I pick up disappear unless I press R to equip.
I'm replaying the game and in Konpeki Plaza, the only weapon I can equip now is Kongou because it's iconic rarity.
I've picked up every weapon that enemies drop and they all disappear unless I press R to equip and pickup.
Just picking up causes the loot to vanish.

I've had items I buy in the shops just disappear, I wouldn't think those are 'broken' and broken down because they were bought and were quickhacks, this has happened three times so far and seems to be random at times. I can buy 3 and all 3 disappear, sometimes I buy 3 and only 1 disappears.

Sounds like you're buying crafting specs.

In the literal sense, yes it does disappear.
If you pick something up expecting to be in your inventory, but it magically "turns into crafting materials" without telling you.
(And I can't find anywhere where it says this happens, or gives me an option to turn it off)
In the same way a magician disappears a rabbit into a hat.
What's the point of dropping weapons then? They show stats and everything on the ground.
Why not just drop crafting materials instead.
It's just confusion for confusions sake.

The funniest is when you sneak quickhack a load of enemies they dont fire or spot you, and you go to loot them and all their guns are broken, its as if they are all running around with broken weapons.

I'm getting tired of spending more time fighting questionable / bad developer decisions than actually playing the game.

they're connected to the enemie's biochips, so technically you can't use em, kinda like finger print access on phones. (Lore until they fix it ) xd
