for some reason my character cant die? no matter what i do enemies cant kill me

u think i didnt try reloading? i tried 5 past saves/auto saves and everytime this happens
i do not have any cheats i litteraly just downloaded this after 2 years

Many people had this bug, most of them forgot to totally remove (uninstalling isnt enough, must be done manually) some mods leftover files of the 1.63 version.
If you never used mods, just go to %localappdata% and delete the CD Project Red folder, also can try to delete the small bin/engine/r6 folders in the game root and verify files afterwards to redownload the few files, because maybe the update corrupted some file there.

I'm having the same issue and am assuming that this may be one of the causes. I did a fresh install of the game (did not have it installed for quite some time) for 2.0. I disabled all my mods and didn't have anything additional running with the game. But once I reached the tutorial, I found that everyone was immune to damage unless it was a stealth kill, explosion, or a melee attack against my character. I could deal no damage unless it was via a grab.

I *removed* the mods using Vortex, but the issue persists.

EDIT: I've confirmed that, for me, this was exactly the issue. I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to modding, so I didn't realize that having Vortex "remove" the mods didn't really remove them. I checked my game's folders and there were at least a dozen files left over from the mods (such as cyberenginetweaks). They were very noticeable since I haven't played the game in such a long time, so I deleted any file with an install date that predated my fresh install. I verified the integrity of the files (2 files came up unverifiable, but I cleared the download cache), reloaded my autosave in the tutorial, and everything worked fine.

I had this bug as well two days ago, no Mods and my first Playthrough in General. My only fix ended up being Save Editing. Look up PixelRicks CyberpunkSaveEditor, load in a save-file you want to fix, open up the advanced entries to get the "God Mode" option and go through the entries until you find one with an entity that reads "00000001" (basically a lot of zeroes and a 1). This one is the PlayerCharacter and should have an "Invincibility" Tag attached to it that has to be removed. Don't forget to Save the save and you should be good to die again.
