Cannot Drive my first car

Just got the car from my dude and I can steer but its not accelerating. Not with W and not with arrow up. What do I do now?

Quest says I need to drive like 120 meters :D


oh and I realised the dude was suppose to sit in the car with me but he went back to the asian stand to eat some more noodles lmao

So anyone running into this problem, the quick/easy fix is run down the road a little (far enough so you can call your car), then call your car (V button on PC), once it respawns you're good to go. It should only happen that once too as far as i'm aware, seem to be a problem with the mission rather than the cars.

Enter Vehicle - F
Accelerate - W
Brake - S
Steer - A / D
Handbrake - Space
Exit Vehicle - Hold F
Headlights - Alt
Switch Vehicle Camera - Q
Horn - Left Control

If these aren't working, I'd assume one of three possible things are happening.

1 - Maybe you're hitting the wrong buttons.
2 - Maybe you've configured your controls in a way that makes them unusable
3 - Maybe it's a bug.

If all 3 possibilities don't fix it, verify the local files, test it out, and if that's failed, reinstall.

If none of those things work, then you're probably just out of luck. Maybe your super specific combination of hardware makes it impossible to play?

Call for an active vehicle - V
Mark vehicle as Active - Hold V to access the Garage Menu, Select a vehicle by pressing F
Radio On / Off - R
Radio Menu - Hold R
Switch Stations - Arrow keys UP and DOWN
Select Station - F / Enter

yeh you are right that might be the solution seems that the dude is bugged who is supposed to ride with you in the car

Oh thank god, i thought i was the only one, could not find this issue in google search. This worked for me.
