It always counted as lethal to stuff some gonk into the trash, freezer or back of a car (unless a Fixer sent the car to pick them up)
Its just now that it tells you its deadly.
Found that out the hard way patch 1.6 when doing a badlands gig for Dakota, and the (optional) said not to kill any of the MiliTech guards.
Sneak up behind and takedown/use non lethal quickhack to take them down was fine, if I left them unconscious on the floor.
But the moment I his the mooks in a trashcan, I lost the (optional) part.
Lucky me, I could reload to before (I quick saved a lot lol)
Some containers have always been lethal. Not noticed a difference in 2.0 yet.
No way... All this time... I've been killing people without knowing it.
Thanks for clearing this up for me.
Of course it didn't always show that way. You had the choice of "kill" or "no kill" before throwing the body into the container. You could make someone pass out by hitting their head or kill them by breaking their neck when throwing them into a closet/trash.
And now every container kills. Not only refrigerators, etc. If I try to throw someone into a garbage can, I have to break their neck. This hasn't happened before. There was a choice to stun or kill. And if you don't want to kill, then an unconscious person was thrown into a garbage can.
If V was just a heartless murderer and snapped the necks of everyone they met from the beginning, it wouldn't be such much problem for me. But when I can knock unconscious someone... and then have to break their neck to hide them from view... it feels weird.
Everyone knows it's a game, but having immersion and faced with this choice, I wonder if it's worth killing someone just because I want to put him in the closet... it feels so bad. "I didn't want to kill you, but I have to break your neck to throw it into the trash can. For some reason..."
:D
It doesn't make any sense to knock a body out just to kill them to hide their bodies. So now I just have to hide their bodies on the floor in a spot where they don't patrol. A bit annoying.
I think that one mission is set up for non-lethal, but frankly? Shoving an unconscious person into a small space ANYWHERE is likely not good for their health. Just saying...
Well I just ran the mission 2 days ago, I got an epic failed for putting body in a car. It’s stupid you can’t hide the bodies without npc finding laying out and about
